Pomeranian Guide

The Guide to Owning Your First Pomeranian from Jenn Pereda on Vimeo.

This one was a group project for my 2D studio class. I was responsible for the character designs, putting most of the backgrounds together in flash, and animating the grocery store scene. I also picked out the music and re-edited it.

Oh look at that, the project was even put up on display at my school.

Self Advertising

Well Vimeo has finally finished processing the video I tried uploading about 14 hours ago. I figured I'd might as well post it here even though I don't really like posting two blog entries in one day.

This was an assignment for my Digital Ink and Paint class. For this project, I had to make an advertisement for myself. I tried to incorporate some of my interests such as baking and pomeranians, along with images of some of my past work which can be seen on the fridge. All of this was put with Les Baxter's "Shooting Stars" as the soundtrack to create a 1950s-1960s vibe to the animation.

Looking at it now, I can see where I can make some improvements, but overall, I like the way it turned out.

Oh look, it's my first post

Bring out the party favors, looks like I've got a blog! Not that I've never had a blog before, but this time there will be no angsty journal entries or postings about me wondering what I'd look like with red hair. Strictly business going on here.

This first entry was originally going to have a video, but I had trouble with uploading it to Blogger and Vimeo took way too long. So instead you get this:

I took inspiration from Lauren Bacall and Lady Gaga for the design. The combination made sense, but that might have been the allergy medicine I was taking at the time messing with me. She's from a project I first started in March and have slowly been working on. I might post some concept art in the future, or maybe I'll just leave it all as a surprise till I post the finished animation. I'll figure it out, or something.
