Supreme Thunder

I was in the mood to draw some lightning; and who better than the pretty sailor suited solider of love and courage, Sailor Jupiter? Sailor Jupiter has always been my favorite of the sailor scouts and the new series has reminded me how much I love her.

Boolesque

Her waist is so small it's not even there. I've been a spooky mood so I drew a spooky burlesque ghost. I don't know how her body works, but who knows how ghosts work anyway?

These Eyes Can Do More Than See

Finally got B finished! I've been busy with moving to a new city, unpacking, lots of driving and work, so the last thing I wanted to do was sit at my desk. Now that I'm a little more settled into my new home, I've been able to draw a bit more. I currently have no internet so I'm not sure how often I'm going to update this blog?

From Aesop to Zydrate

I really liked the idea of creating a coloring book. Instead of just focusing on Repo! the Genetic Opera, I broadened the subject to also include The Devil's Carnival.

If anyone colors it, please show me! I don't care if it's done digitally or with a fistful of broken crayons.

I ended up getting home later than I expected so no working on Poison Ivy tonight. I did remember that I said I had more old junk to post so here you go!

A sketch before bedtime

My buddy Walter bought some art books this weekend at Comic Con and it made me want to draw pretty ladies. Obviously the best thing to do is to wait until it's time for you to go to sleep to actually start sketching. This is the point I'm going to leave it at before bed. It will give me something to look forward to working on tomorrow night.

What is it about having to go to sleep that makes me want to draw Poison Ivy?

Repo! The Genetic Coloring and Activity Book

I realized I have a lot of stuff stashed away that I never uploaded here. I was going to post them as one giant art dump but I decided not to since some of them could be grouped together into individual posts.

 These are from an old idea I came up with with my friend Mallory. It was going to be a Repo! The Genetic Opera coloring and activity book. It was pretty great. I should make more pages.

Captain America

Hahahaha....oops. I started this after I first watched The Winter Soldier back in March. It is now June and it's finally finished. Animal Crossing, work stuff and just general laziness got in the way. I contemplated getting it done for Memorial Day, but that thought didn't occur to me till the day of. Then today I found out it was Chris Evans' birthday and I figured it was now or never. So tada! Captain America! I am garbage.

I recorded myself working on this, but I still need to edit the video. It should be posted here sometime soon-ish? Maybe? Again, I am garbage. 

May the Fourth

I think my favorite part of Star Wars was when the poms helped the Rebel alliance bring down the Empire. Oh. It didn't happen that way? Well it should have.

The Haunted Mansion/The Incredibles Mash Up

Pomtown Buffet

I worked on this with Walter Schmidt (He put the elements in the video together and ran the project) and Matthew Baker (He made the spinning TV in the prize screen). I did everything else. It was a fun project. Don't you wish it was a real game? Just me? Okay.

Love Bug

Ben Delacreme has quickly become one of my absolute favorite contestants on RuPaul's Drag Race. While this isn't my favorite performance by Dela, I like the image of her as a bug in her Atomic Bombshells performance with Lou Henry Hoover.

I Baked You a Carrot Cake

I made this as a birthday present for a friend. I was supposed to upload this a few days ago and I forgot. Haha, oop.

1 in the morning is a good time to make an update, right? I made this for a friend and to be honest I don't know a lot about Black Cat. What I do know is that she has fabulous hair and a costume with ugly fur trim.

I draw what I likes and I likes what I drew

I was watching Mary Poppins when I came to the realization that Dick Van Dyke looks like a puppet. Naturally I had to draw him as if Mary Poppins was made by Rankin/Bass instead of Disney. He looks a bit like Woody from Toy Story to me, but I still like him. I made him in Illustrator and I added the soot in Photoshop.

I haven't been able to update/work on stuff as much as usual lately, but life should be back to normal from now on.

2006 Revisted

I wanted to practice coloring in Photoshop so I took an old drawing I did back in 2006 and recreated it. I didn't want to change a lot of what was in the original, mainly just maybe flesh things out more/add more detail. I might do another drawing of this character, just with an updated design that wasn't made by a Jrock obsessed teenager.

Let It Go

I've been wanting to make some Frozen fanart ever since I saw it back in November and now I've finally got it out of my system. It was fun.

Late Night Drawing

I realized that I don't really draw with a pencil and paper as much as a I used to, so I busted out my tools and got to work... and boy, am I rusty.

I drew the Ivy on the right too close to the bottom of the page. I liked her so much that I had to draw her twice! I prefer the sketch version over the one in color, but she's nice too, I guess. These women are deadly, but their cheekbones are deadlier. (I have no idea what that even means. It sounds good, right?) I sketched Eartha Kitt as Catwoman and Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy.

Home Sweet Home

I made some Pom homes in Illustrator, as well as a snack shop that can be seen below. The milk carton is the home of Pom Candy and the tiny Pom Pomette Omelet lives in the egg house. They are just two of the residents of the sleepy town of Small Town. I had already made Pom Candy's house before in Flash so this was just an update. I added more detail and color to the original design and made it a bit more homey and cute.
