Papa Suchong

More Bioshock sketches. This time it's Suchong. I like his face. I never realized he has a combover in his audio diary portait. Poor guy.

The only real full body image of him from the first game was from a flashback. I don't know if I'd have him in the scrubs since it's a bit much. I also didn't want to base him off of his Burial at Sea model so a basic lab coat seemed fitting. He looks like a total dad without it. Good job, me.

Here is a bonus Jack. He's a good boy. 

Jack of all Trades

Aaaaand I'm back to being super into Bioshock again. Thanks a lot, remastered version. Walter and I had planned on doing a Bioshock video for our channel a long time ago but we just kept putting it off. I guess since the series is relevant again, now is as good as time as ever. 

The one on the right's hair is based on fanart versions of Jack that I've seen on Tumblr since Jack's hair is never like that. I also gave him really big eyebrows because those are fun. I might make him a little thicker since Jack is a pretty big guy.

His sweater will most likely not have all the detail in the final version but it was fun to add just for the concept version. I like his little arms and feet.

Eye See You

I don't know why I like the idea of Boo's true form having  a lot of eyes. It's really not necessary. Whatever.  Boo is hard for me to draw because I can never figure out what to have her wear. The only part of her design I'm ever happy with is her hair. Someday she'll have an official outfit like Ba does.

Nightmare Girl

...I just really wanted to draw gloved hands. Everything else was just kind of extra. Her hair was a pain since her hair isn't even really hair? It's smoke? 

A sketch I like enough to post here but not enough to fix up. Ba's face is cute. I like Ba. I should probably draw Boo more often. 

Peridot

I drew a green Dorito. I had a hard time with this one because I couldn't find a pose I was really happy with. I'm happy I finally got it finished though. 

Whole

Just a sketch. I was inspired by a picture of a cool looking goat. I tried to make her even parts Boo and Ba since it's them put together. I'll figure out her colors eventually.

Joy

I got commissioned to make a bookmark of Inside Out's Joy. She came out pretty cute. I used a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop because I hate Illustrator's glow effects. I hate them so much.

Ba and Boo

Just some sketches I did while taking a break from a small project I'm working on. Beelzeba has been on the blog before, but her sister Beelzeboo has not. The left drawings are their prettier forms they use to try to lure humans and the right is a little closer to what they really look like. I guess more like the mid point? Yeah. Like the weird monstrosities you see on the covers of Animorphs.

Another 3 minute lore video. I honestly didn't know the storyline for Metroid before working on this. I only helped out with the second half of the video. The first half was all Walter.

Finished Tetra from The Legend of Zelda. All I wanted to do was play Hyrule Warriors Legends but I had to be a responsible adult and draw cartoons instead. 

The Legend of Zelda: Fashion Heroes

My sweet baby boy is finally out in the world now. We started this back in September(?) before Tri Force Heroes was even released. It was supposed to be just a quick little thing but then other projects kept coming up and it got pushed to the side. I'm happy it's finally out though. I built almost everything you see on screen (the only thing I didn't make was the weird, cube Link) and Walter animated it.

Jenn Draws Wonder Woman

Here's the Wonder Woman video. Woop woop. Look at me being current and hip with what's in entertainment. 

Finished up Wonder Woman from the other night. I was feeling pretty meh about Batman vs. Superman, but working on this got me pretty hyped up. I tried to keep this in the same coloring style as my older Wonder Woman drawing. The pose isn't as dynamic as the old one but I do see improvements.

Haha, whoops! Forgot to put this up here. Poison Ivy video was uploaded to the Youtube. This video marks one month of me updating my channel once a week. It's starting to get a little busier at work so let's see if I can keep this up.

Just two sketches I've done this week. Wonder Woman will be brought into Illustrator sometime soon. The Twilight characters... not so much. I'm strangely proud of my Edward and Jacob though. They are the most beautiful.

New Poison Ivy drawing for the year. Did I even draw her last year? I don't think I did, but let's pretend it's an annual thing. I'm sure there were two Poison Ivys in one year to make this even out.

This week's speed painting. I thought I posted this before I left for work this morning but I guess I just thought about it. Oh well, it's up now anyway.

Jenn Draws Midna

Midna's video is finally online! This video was a struggle. Illustrator crashed while I was recording so there are some parts I had to redo. Then Quicktime crashed so I'm missing a tiny bit of footage. Then to top it off it took me 2 weeks to find a song I liked for the video. Then my luck turned around the night before I was going to upload. One of the musicians I messaged for permission to use their music finally responded. The old song I had picked was out, and the perfect song was in. I'm really happy with this video and I hope everyone likes it.

Sketchy Poison Ivys

I liked these sketches but not enough to actually do anything with them. I was trying to figure out poses for a drawing and these are just two of them. The others were garbage. 

Isabelle

Isabelle, my precious baby. I stuck to my word and kept it simple. There's only one gradient in the whole picture and it's not overpowering. I added eyebrows to her design because fat eyebrows are cute.

100 Posts

I finally made it to 100 posts! Not that it means I've made it to 100 drawings, but it's still pretty neat that I've managed to keep up with this blog. I hadn't realized I updated so much until I was going to make a new entry with a video. If I had known, I would have made something to commemorate it. I don't want my 100th post to be a video so here's a small self portrait I made last night.

Amethyst

Amethyst is February's birthstone so I wanted to get a drawing of her before the month ended. I wanted to keep it simple but I just can't seem to stay away from gradients and blurs. Oh blurs, why can't I quit you?

Two Midnas

It's almost like I'll die if I don't post something Zelda related. Twili Midna is my main character in Hyrule Warriors. She is the best. Speed painting should be up within the next few days.

The Legend of Zelda Lore in 3 Minutes

My friend and I got hired to make 3 minute lore videos. I'm happy Zelda was the first one we were assigned because it's a series I actually like. There's a lot of quality changes throughout the video since we were trying to figure out what was the best way to go about making this at the same time as making it. I'm really proud of my laughing Demise, floating Skyloft and seven sages. Also apparently my handwriting looks like a font? I don't know.

I liked this sketch enough to post it. That hardly ever happens. I've been playing a lot of Hyrule Warriors recently. Hyrule Warriors is my life now. 

Giant Woman

I started this drawing in December. Then I got food poisoning and lost all motivation to even open the file. I really liked the sketch and didn't want it to end up with all the other unfinished files I have cluttering my desktop.

This is what it originally looked like before I decided to completely start from scratch. I still like it but I wasn't really feeling it, you know?

Smoke

I wanted to do my own stereotypical anime head tilt drawing so I made one. See, kids, dreams do come true. 

Sleepy

I couldn't really work on my current project today so I drew my friend's character for their youtube channel. She's small and kicks butts. All the butts.

Summon

More sparkle magic girl princess from Hell- now with more frustration and gaussian blur. I've been working on this on and off while also working on other projects. Photoshop is fun, but I miss my beloved Illustrator.
